Genesis is barely bothering to hide it anymore — and that alone tells you something. Spanish outlet Motor.es has published new spy photos of a prototype identified as the future Genesis GV70 Hybrid. The car is being tested in a hot climate in southern Europe — and this isn't its first stop. It was previously spotted at the Nürburgring.
A thinner layer of camouflage has finally revealed what Genesis kept hidden for months: dual-strip LED headlights, a double-diamond mesh grille, and front bumper air intakes. The prototype rides on 20-inch wheels with 265 mm tires. The exhaust tips are tucked under the rear bumper and angled downward — a detail brand fans have already picked up on.
Under the hood, the setup is expected to pair a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. The outlet also links the car to an electrically heated catalyst system developed by Vitesco, designed to cut emissions after the vehicle has been running on electric power alone. The automaker has not confirmed this detail officially — so treat it as a theory, not a fact.
Genesis previously tested an updated G90. Official specs, output figures, and the GV70 Hybrid's launch date haven't been announced yet. It's expected to arrive in early 2027.
