Mitsubishi launches seven-seat Destinator SUV in Vietnam
Mitsubishi Motors starts sales of the seven-seat Destinator SUV in Vietnam, blending MPV comfort and SUV toughness. Debuted in Indonesia with 12,000 orders.
Mitsubishi Motors announced the start of sales of the seven-seat Destinator SUV in Vietnam. Developed around a concept that positions it as a confident companion for energetic families, the model offers a three-row cabin and targets Southeast Asia, South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa—about 70 countries in total.
The Destinator first debuted in Indonesia in July and drew around 12,000 orders in four months, surpassing the annual plan. On November 20, the model also launched in the Philippines. The company highlights a mix of refreshed SUV styling and a spacious interior, along with calibration for varied road and weather conditions.

In Vietnam, the model is introduced by the MMV subsidiary. Management stresses that the Destinator blends MPV-like comfort with the resilience of an SUV, a combination that reads as a practical fit for family duty and the road realities of the region.
The model also secured gold at the VMARK Vietnam Design Award 2025 in the industrial design category. With the lineup expanding, that recognition is likely to influence which models families shortlist in the years ahead.
