BYD just pulled off a strange move — it gutted its own electric SUV lineup. The Atto 2 range in the Netherlands has lost three of its four trims in one stroke. The official price list in effect from August 1, 2026, lists only one configuration: Business, priced at €34,490. Active, Boost and Comfort have simply vanished from the document.
And here's the paradox. Getting into an electric Atto 2 now costs more: the base Active used to start at €31,690, which means the entry price has climbed by €2,800. But the top-spec version went the other way. Business replaces Comfort, which was priced at €36,690 as of April 1, and it comes in €2,200 cheaper. Entry got pricier, the ceiling got more affordable. Coincidence? More like a calculated move.
The hardware hasn't changed one bit. The electric motor still produces 150 kW, or 204 hp. The battery holds 64.8 kWh. Range reaches 430 km on the WLTP cycle, and peak fast-charging power sits at 155 kW. 0-100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds.
Standard equipment includes a heat pump, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, power-adjustable front seats and a 12.8-inch touchscreen. Earlier, Tarantas News reported on the Changan Nevo Q05 gearing up for a European launch — a rival that's clearly in a hurry while BYD experiments with its own lineup. The Business version is already listed in the current Dutch price list; delivery timing depends on availability, so BYD suggests checking with the nearest dealership.
