GWM just did something nobody expected: it made its Poer P30 pickup more affordable in Brazil, not less. The 2027 model year lineup gets a new entry-level Pro trim. According to Motor1, it costs 205,000 reais — around $40,200 at the August 7 exchange rate. Moving up the price ladder, the Trail comes in at 227,000 reais (roughly $44,500), while the range-topping Exclusive runs 247,000 reais, or about $48,400.
Here's the part that matters: six airbags are now standard across every single trim, even the cheapest one. GWM also revised the body structure for the 2027 model year. But the base Pro trim shows where the automaker cut corners — 18-inch steel wheels, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster all make the cut, while a 360-degree camera, wireless charging and power front seats do not.
The mechanicals, though, are shared across the whole lineup — GWM didn't cheap out there. The 2.4-liter turbodiesel makes 184 hp and 480 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
The Great Wall Poer previously went through a long-term test in Russia, with mixed results reported. In Brazil, the top Exclusive trim can now also be had with an electric sunroof for just 3,000 reais more, bringing that configuration to 250,000 reais, or about $49,000.
