Twelve cars exist on the entire planet — and two of them just rolled into California. Caterham brought two examples of the Seven Miami Special Edition to Monterey Car Week, and buying one won't involve a paddle or a bidding war — it's a private treaty deal arranged through Bonhams. The special edition is limited to just 12 cars, each hand-built at the company's factory in the UK.
The Seven Miami Special Edition is built on the track-focused Seven R — and this is no supermarket runabout. The naturally aspirated 2.0-liter Ford Duratec puts out 210 bhp at 7,600 rpm and 203 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. At just 560 kg, the numbers get seriously interesting — 375 bhp per tonne.
The result is 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 136 mph. No comfort compromises here — these 2026 cars are built strictly for the track, full stop. All 12 examples wear a bespoke Aqua paint finish with Vibrant Pink and White accents, and every single one carries its own numbered plaque.
Caterham has previously built another limited run, the Seven HWM, powered by the same 2.0-liter engine. The Seven Miami's public viewing at the Bonhams pavilion at Laguna Seca runs August 11-12, with the main Bonhams sale set for August 13.
