Ron Fellows has set a new production-car benchmark at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, lapping the circuit in 1:18.22 behind the wheel of a C8 Corvette ZR1. A video of the run captures how fully the car’s capabilities come into play on CTMP’s challenging mix of elevation changes and fast, committed corners.

The Corvette ZR1 is powered by a reworked 5.5-liter LT7 V8 with twin turbos, delivering 1,064 hp and 828 Nm. Drive goes through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The model adds a strengthened aerodynamic package, carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin performance tires, and an upgraded suspension—hardware that suits a track where stability and high-speed precision are everything.

Fellows previously held the CTMP record in a Corvette Z06, and the latest iteration pushes that mark further. The clip also includes footage from the onboard PDR system. It’s the kind of lap that underlines how far 2025-spec performance cars have come, where power, grip, and aero work together to turn pace into proof.
