Saving money on a car while getting more for it — sounds too good to be true? Nissan just proved otherwise. On August 13, the German market welcomed a special version of the Townstar Kombi N-Tec — and this is one of those rare cases where paying for an options package actually pays you back. The model is built on the N-Connecta trim and starts at €32,700 including VAT. The savings compared to buying the same features separately reach €2,000.
What’s hiding behind that number? A rear-view camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror, climate control with second-row vents — and that’s just the start. What really stands out is the winter-ready focus of this version: heated front seats and all-season tyres come standard, not as a costly add-on. Add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the I-Key system, and side protection while maneuvering — a bundle you’d normally have to piece together yourself.
There isn’t much room for choice elsewhere, though. The Townstar N-Tec comes only in the L1 body at 4,488 mm long, and only with the 1.3-litre turbo engine making 130 hp. Gearboxes are where you get a say: a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic. Cargo space, meanwhile, stretches from 775 up to a generous 3,100 litres — no complaints there.
