The 95-59 landed in the US wearing a fixed rear wing and roof scoop that Lanzante once called a future upgrade. Now it's a launch option.

A large fixed rear wing for the Lanzante 95-59 went from future-upgrade idea to ready-made option in just a few months. At Monterey Car Week, the three-seat production supercar made its US debut wearing the High Downforce Kit — a package that also brings a roof-integrated air intake. Alongside it, Lanzante revealed a new five-spoke centerlock wheel design.

Back in April, the plan looked different. At Goodwood, the roof scoop, high-downforce kit and center-lock wheels were still described as a wish list — Lanzante intended to build all 59 cars first and only then bring them back to the factory for upgrades. Production is slated to start in 2027 and run for about two years.

The aero personalization has now leapfrogged that timeline. And Lanzante doesn't need new buyers to chase: back in April, the entire run of 59 cars was already spoken for. So the new package isn't about growing the audience — it's about going deeper on customization for each existing order.

The core engineering hasn't changed. Lanzante officially quotes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with over 850 horsepower and 880 Nm of torque, a 7-speed SSG, and rear-wheel drive. The carbon monocoque has been reworked for three seats with the driver in the center. With the LM30 package, target weight comes in at 1,250 kg, pushing power-to-weight to 700 hp per ton. The standard car already runs an active rear wing.

That's exactly why the High Downforce Kit isn't just another cosmetic option. It shifts the character of the whole project. Lanzante has form here: the HDK name traces back to the aero package McLaren offered F1 owners in the 1990s, and the firm later applied the same idea to the P1 HDK.

One key figure is still under wraps — how much extra downforce the new kit actually generates, and whether the fixed wing fully replaces the standard active one. That's the number that will show just how far the 95-59 with HDK has strayed from its road-biased base setup.
