Nobody at Lexus has said a word yet, but dealer chatter in Japan is already putting a number on it. According to Creative Trend, citing dealership sources, the updated Lexus RX could cost up to 400,000 yen more once the facelift lands. The official unveiling is expected by the end of September, with sales starting October 1, 2026. Lexus itself has stayed silent so far, so treat these figures as preliminary.
The RX350h takes the biggest hit. The front-wheel-drive version climbs from 7.60 to 8.00 million yen, while the all-wheel-drive variant jumps from 8.11 to 8.51 million. The RX450h+ and RX500h get off comparatively easy, each rising by 260,000 yen to land at 9.13 and 9.29 million yen respectively. Even the gas-only RX350 isn't spared, adding 360,000 to 380,000 yen. For reference, Lexus' current official pricing runs from 6.68 million yen for the RX350 up to 9.03 million for the RX500h.
And this isn't just a case of bundling in extra options. The source points to retuned suspension and electric power steering, wider use of IR-cutting glass, and one detail that actually saves you a headache: Auto Brake Hold now remembers its own state. Shut the car off, start it back up, and you won't have to switch it on again. A digital key, front and rear dash cams, ITS Connect, and a winter package become standard across every version. Select trims also gain wireless charging, a digital mirror, and a 1,500-watt AC outlet as standard — basically enough to bring along whatever you want.
This isn't just a Japanese story, either. The RX remains Lexus' flagship model worldwide, having pioneered the luxury crossover segment back in 1998 and continuing to be the brand's best-selling nameplate.
Don't expect a revolution, though: the current generation keeps its platform, powertrains, and overall architecture. The RX is still betting on comfort and hybrid power — and that remains its strongest card in 2026. The official Japanese announcement in late September will settle things for good, confirming both final pricing and the complete list of upgrades.
