Dongfeng’s VIGO EV and MAGE PHEV are finally at Spanish dealers, with 25 showrooms now taking orders and prices starting from €29,990.

Two months, and Dongfeng’s Spanish dealer network has grown from 23 to 25 locations. The VIGO and MAGE PHEV, unveiled back in June, have stopped being pretty announcements. As of August 25, you can walk in, sit inside, and actually order one. June’s rollout promised bookings in July and first deliveries by the end of August — that timeline held, almost to the day. This isn’t a second premiere. It’s the moment real buyers show up.

Cash prices haven’t moved: the electric VIGO is €29,990, the MAGE PHEV is €31,990. Finance the purchase and Dongfeng’s own site lists €24,500 for the VIGO and €28,530 for the MAGE PHEV — but those figures aren’t directly comparable to the cash price, since they’re tied to a credit program and the Auto+ incentive scheme.

The VIGO packs a 163 hp, 230 Nm electric motor, a 51.87 kWh LFP battery, and 340 km of range. Fast charging tops out at 167 kW, taking the battery from 30 to 80% in 18 minutes. Add a 6 kW V2L function and a 500-liter boot, and it’s a solid package for the segment.

The MAGE plays in a different league: its 1.5-liter turbo engine paired with an electric motor puts out 299 hp. The battery is a modest 17 kWh, good for 89 km of pure electric driving, while total claimed range reaches 1,200 km. Fuel consumption on a depleted battery is rated at 5.3 l/100 km. Here’s the odd part: back in June, the Spanish spec listed just 81 km and a little over 1,000 km — the numbers grew by launch time, and nobody explained why. An upgrade? Recalculated figures? Dongfeng isn’t saying.

Spain has become one of the main battlegrounds for Chinese expansion in 2026, and Dongfeng is far from alone in the race. The brand isn’t slowing down elsewhere either — just days ago it unveiled five new models in Chengdu. But for the VIGO and MAGE in Europe, premieres no longer matter. What matters now is whether the new dealer network can turn attractive price tags into actual sales.
