2026 Chevrolet Traverse updates: camera mirror for LT, cheaper Z71 package, Key Card
Explore the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse: LT adds a camera-based rearview mirror, cheaper Z71 package, new colors, Key Card, plus trim details and pricing.
Chevrolet continues to refresh its family crossover lineup, and the 2026 Traverse has become noticeably more practical. The headline change is the camera-based rearview mirror, a feature previously reserved for higher trims that now appears in the more attainable LT.
On the 2025 model, the camera mirror (code DRZ) was bundled in the pricier Enhanced Driving package for the Z71 or fitted as standard on the RS and High Country. Now LT buyers can add it via the Driver Confidence (BGP) package for $1,225. It’s a sensible shift that broadens access to a genuinely useful feature.
For the Z71, the Enhanced Driving package is now cheaper, priced at $3,935. Beyond that, the SUV adds a couple of new exterior colors, a revised trim structure, and a Key Card function that lets you unlock and start the vehicle without a traditional key—small changes that make everyday use a bit easier.
The 2026 lineup includes three versions:
- LT — from $42,695
- Z71 — from $50,795
- High Country — from $57,295
Front-wheel drive remains standard on the LT and High Country, with all-wheel drive available as an option. Regardless of trim, the Traverse uses a familiar 2.5-liter turbocharged I4 (LK0) on GM’s C1 architecture. Production continues at the GM Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant in Michigan.
The Traverse still reads as one of GM’s most well-balanced family crossovers. Giving the LT a richer options set makes the model more appealing—especially for those who want premium touches without paying top-trim money. The LT now feels like the sweet spot in the range.
