More than 20,000 people put their money down on Geely’s newest electric sedan before it even officially goes on sale. And the milestone fell fast: Geely Galaxy spokesperson Guan Junyang said that after mass pre-orders opened on August 13, the Galaxy TT needed just three days to blow past 20,000 “small orders.” One caveat worth noting — these are refundable pre-orders, not confirmed sales or paid deliveries.
Geely has now confirmed the next step: the Galaxy TT’s full market launch lands in September. The pre-order phase opened with three rear-wheel-drive variants priced at 145,900, 155,900 and 169,900 yuan — roughly $20,500, $21,900 and $23,900.
And the hardware backs up the hype for this price bracket — arguably punching above it. The Galaxy TT’s official spec sheet confirms an 800-volt architecture, a CATL Shenxing TT battery and 6C charging, with Geely promising more than 400 km of range added in just 11 minutes. The rear-wheel-drive versions are rated for up to 540 and 640 km under China’s CLTC cycle. Even the suspension isn’t playing it cheap: double-wishbone up front, five-link at the rear.
The all-wheel-drive Galaxy TT Ultra stands apart, with around 578 hp on tap. Its pre-order price currently sits at 169,900 yuan.
For Geely, that level of interest matters on the production side too. Guan Junyang admitted outright that the volume of early orders is already pushing the team to line up extra capacity. So the real test for the Galaxy TT after its September launch won’t be pre-order counts — it’ll be how fast those turn into paid orders and cars actually reaching driveways.
