Renault has officially confirmed the debut date for the next-generation Duster — the premiere is set for January 26, 2026, in India. The launch marks the French brand’s return to the midsize SUV segment, which the Duster exited in 2022.

Few launches are likely to draw as much attention. Earlier generations earned cult status in India by combining real-world capability with an accessible price — a formula that still feels spot-on for local buyers.

The SUV is expected to be built on an updated CMF-B platform shared with Nissan models and to receive modern powertrains, including hybrid and turbocharged gasoline options. If the blend of new-tech drivetrains and the nameplate’s no-nonsense character is maintained, the comeback stands a strong chance of landing exactly where the segment is heading.
