The Toyota Supra A90 era is ending in a way few would have expected. The last car produced from the fifth generation is not going to a museum or a sealed Toyota collection. Instead, it will cross the block at the Barrett-Jackson charity auction in Scottsdale, scheduled for January 23–31, 2027. The story has almost come full circle: seven years ago, the first Supra of this generation sold through the same auction house for $2.1 million.
And this is not just another Final Edition. The final Supra was built as a GR Supra MkV Final Edition with a six-speed manual transmission. It stands out with factory Phantom Gray paint, a VIN ending in 99999 and Akio Toyoda's signature on the engine cover. The entire hammer price will go to Reach Out WorldWide, the organization founded by Paul Walker.
Now comes the fascinating part — the price. The official base price of the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition in the United States is $69,350. If the last car merely matches the first Supra's $2.1 million result, the winning bidder will pay more than 30 times the factory price of the final edition. For now, however, that is only a benchmark: Toyota and Barrett-Jackson have not announced a presale estimate for the unique car.
The first A90 was special too. It received a unique VIN, matte gray paint and sold for $2.1 million at a charity auction in January 2019. The symmetry is hard to miss: the generation's commercial story began with a record-setting sale of its first car and will now end with an auction for its very last one.
Production of the fifth generation has already ended, with the 2026 model year serving as its finale. Toyota prepared 1300 MkV Final Edition cars for North America. Only one question remains: how much will collectors pay to own literally the last A90? The answer will come in January 2027 — and this Supra has every chance to turn a final full stop into another auction record.
