This is no longer a rumor: the compact Lexus UX now has a final date. February 2027 will be the last month of production. Lexus in Japan has confirmed the crossover is heading out, and some versions could disappear from sale even earlier if the planned production allocation is fully claimed.
The UX joined the Lexus lineup in 2018, and it was anything but a quiet experiment. According to the company, by the end of June 2026 the crossover had reached around 400,000 sales in more than 80 countries and regions. Now that chapter in Lexus history is rapidly approaching its final page.
In Japan, the closing lineup is effectively centered on the hybrid UX300h. Prices range from 5.21 million to 5.757 million yen, with front-wheel drive and E-Four all-wheel drive available. Orders for the version C trim have already ended, along with selected paint options.
The biggest question is still unanswered: what comes next? Lexus has not said that the UX is leaving because of the smaller LBX, and it has not introduced a direct successor. Any claim that another crossover is taking over its role therefore remains speculation. What is official is the production end date and the possibility that orders may close early.
