In testing, the system performed reliably in high-speed car-to-car scenarios and prevented most incidents involving pedestrians and cyclists. The lane-keeping system drew high marks for precise path corrections and timely interventions, while the speed assistance function determines limits using map data and a camera and displays them to the driver. Taken together, the behavior suggests a calibration aimed at real traffic rather than just ticking boxes in a lab.

Kia’s PBV division head Sandae Kim said the top score confirms the brand’s safety standards and supports the expansion of the PBV lineup in Europe.
