Ford registers Aviator trademark in the UK, not a Lincoln Aviator launch
Ford applied to register the Aviator trademark in the UK, covering vehicles and EVs. Analysts see legal housekeeping, not an imminent Lincoln Aviator launch.
On November 25, 2025, Ford filed to register the “Aviator” trademark in the United Kingdom. The application lists the goods and services that could be offered under this name: vehicles—machines for travel on land, in the air, or on water; electric vehicles; ground-based electric vehicles; land vehicles with electric drive; and more.
For now, the Lincoln Aviator is not sold in the UK or in many other markets, with availability limited to North America and China.
Observers abroad suggest this registration is unlikely to signal a UK launch of the crossover. It comes across as routine legal housekeeping, a way for Ford to secure the Aviator name on the local market. Reading between the lines, the move feels more defensive than indicative of an imminent product rollout.
