MAZDA VISION X-COUPE Concept

MAZDA VISION X-COUPE is a sports coupe packed with advanced technology, created to highlight an emotionally engaging drive while keeping environmental impact in check. Its unique Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) system pairs a revolutionary two-rotor internal combustion engine rated at 510 horsepower with an electric motor. The setup aims for an EV-only range of about 160 kilometers and a total driving range of roughly 800 kilometers, achieved through the interplay between the electric drive and the rotary engine. The return of a rotary in this role suggests Mazda is pursuing character and efficiency in equal measure—an appealing blend for those who want feel without range anxiety.

Beyond performance, the concept reflects the brand’s intention to shrink the transport carbon footprint by using eco-friendly fuel derived from microalgae, alongside Mazda Mobile Carbon Capture, a technology aimed at reducing CO2 emissions while the car is in motion. If realized, that toolkit would make sustainability part of the driving routine rather than an afterthought.

MAZDA VISION X-COMPACT Concept

The second concept, MAZDA VISION X-COMPACT, takes a different tack, focusing on comfort and ease for both driver and passengers. It features advanced artificial intelligence designed to foster friendly human–machine interaction. The AI can hold natural conversations with occupants, help craft personalized routes, account for each person’s preferences, and elevate comfort during trips. The approach aims to make in-car tech intuitive and low-friction, so the car adapts to people—not the other way around.

European Version of the MAZDA CX-5

Alongside the concepts, Mazda presented a new version of the popular MAZDA CX-5 tailored specifically for the European market. The latest CX-5 combines improved cabin ergonomics with the KODO design language—“Soul of Motion”—inspired by Japanese minimalism and dynamism. Handling is sharpened by the Jinba-ittai philosophy—“horse and rider as one”—bringing driver and machine closer together.

The SUV is built on the updated MAZDA E/E ARCHITECTURE+, engineered to optimize performance and efficiency amid today’s urban traffic. Taken together, the changes promise a familiar CX-5 that feels more refined where it matters day to day.
