BMW has taken gamer hype offline: at BMW Welt in Munich, a real BMW M4 GT3 EVO is on display after its recent debut in Fortnite and Rocket League. For fans, it’s a rare chance to see a once-digital machine in the metal. The exhibit runs through January 11, clearly timed for the holiday season and tourist traffic.

The real star is the look. The M4 GT3 EVO wears an anime livery inspired by BLEACH, with a nod to Ichigo Kurosaki. The stark black-and-white shinigami aesthetic is mapped onto the bodywork to draw the eye both on-screen and on the museum forecourt. It’s one of those uncommon cases where racing graphics read not as sponsor clutter, but as a recognizable cultural reference—and it suits the car.

For BMW, this continues its push into gaming. The brand has spent several years entering Fortnite with interactive formats and adding its models to Rocket League, and now it takes the next step—turning a virtual object into a physical exhibit and photo spot. There’s a merch angle too: the game features limited-edition PUMA footwear from the BMW M Motorsport collection, styled to match the same theme.

For those planning a visit: BMW Welt will be closed December 24–26 and December 31–January 1, so it’s best to schedule around those dates.
