First look at the DS Automobiles N°7 SUV, successor to DS 7
DS Automobiles teases the N°7, an SUV successor to the DS 7, debuts Feb 1, 2026. STLA Medium with hybrid, PHEV and EV options, plus DS Iris system on board.
DS Automobiles is preparing a successor to its most popular crossover, the DS 7, and has already started to stoke interest with a first teaser. According to the released details, the second-generation model will be unveiled on February 1, 2026 and will be renamed N°7 to bring the range in line with the already known N°8.
The new N°7 will lean closer to a true SUV than to a crossover silhouette: expect slightly less length and more height compared with the N°8, while keeping a relatively sleek profile. In the teaser video shared by brand head Xavier Peugeot, an arched roof and a smooth transition into a spoiler on the tailgate can be seen, though some frames may have been created with AI and may not exactly match the production car. The proportions suggest a cleaner stance that should add presence without throwing away the aero-minded shape.

Technically, the N°7 is expected to draw on Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform, related to solutions used by several of the group’s midsize models. That almost directly points to a broad menu of powertrains: mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric versions. In some markets, judging by early reports and spy material, the emphasis may shift toward electric models to step up competition with German premium brands in the EV segment. That would be a sensible move given where the market is heading.
As for equipment, it’s reasonable to expect the new DS Iris System infotainment with sizeable displays, as well as the brand’s signature comfort features such as advanced adaptive suspension. Executed well, this combination could make the N°7 feel like the most rounded DS SUV to date.
