Kuhl Blocker Iron Build turns the Land Cruiser 250 into a lifted off-road beast
Meet Kuhl’s Blocker Iron Build: a lifted Land Cruiser 250 with JAOS parts, 37-inch tires and steel armor, debuting at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026. Kit and pricing.
Japanese tuner Kuhl has gone all-in on visual impact again, turning the Land Cruiser 250 into what looks like a life-size Tonka toy—only real and ready for mud. The project, dubbed Blocker Iron Build, will debut at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, where a standard SUV is likely to look almost compact beside it.
The real showstopper is the stance. With height-adjustable suspension and JAOS components, the SUV sits 7 inches (178 mm) higher than stock. Ground clearance is quoted at up to 15.7 inches (399 mm), which on paper even surpasses the AMG G 63 4x4². The effect is underscored by massive 37-inch Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 tires mounted on deep-dish 22-inch Kuhl Verz DR03 wheels.

The bodywork is upgraded with intent: steel bumpers and guard bars, heavy-duty side steps, tubular fender flares with a 70 mm diameter, a roof rack, and a 40-inch LED light bar. A roof spoiler and a separate piece on the tailgate dial up the aggression. In parallel, Kuhl is preparing a more “sporty” FRP kit with different bumpers and flares, set to be shown at Osaka Auto Messe 2026 (February 13–15).
Crucially, the Iron Build isn’t only for display. Kuhl will sell the package or a complete vehicle: the first example, based on the VX grade with the stock 2.7-liter gasoline engine, is priced at roughly 6.79 million yen, while the tuning kit itself runs about 920,000. A more road-friendly version uses 18-inch wheels and milder tires, yet calling this Land Cruiser discreet would be a stretch.
