Fiat TRIS electric three-wheeler debuts for urban last-mile deliveries
Discover the Fiat TRIS, an electric three-wheeled van for last-mile deliveries, debuting at Brussels 2026. 540 kg payload, 90 km range, 220V charging.
Fiat is bringing an unusual newcomer to Europe’s urban logistics scene: the electric, three-wheeled commercial TRIS will be shown for the first time at the Brussels Motor Show 2026, which opens on January 9 in Belgium. This is a tool for last‑mile deliveries and service work, where agility, simplicity and low running costs count more than outright speed.
The TRIS is built with clear pragmatism. Its modular body comes in three formats: a flatbed platform, a pickup, and a chassis cab for add‑on bodies. The pickup can carry a wide range of loads, while the other two are intended as a canvas for partners and customers to tailor to their needs. Despite a compact length of just 3.17 m, the vehicle offers around 2.25 sq m of load area, enough for a standard Euro pallet. The certified payload is up to 540 kg, with a gross vehicle weight of 1025 kg. The approach looks aimed at fleets that need straightforward, configurable hardware without the complexity or cost of larger vans.

The technology is tuned for city work. A 48‑V electric motor delivers up to 9 kW and 45 Nm, with top speed capped at 45 km/h. The 6.9 kWh battery promises 90 km of range under WMTC, and the built‑in charger lets you plug into a standard 220‑V outlet without external equipment: 0–80% takes 3.5 hours, with a full charge in 4 hours 40 minutes. Equipment includes a 5.7‑inch digital display, USB‑C and 12‑V sockets, LED lighting, and a set of basic safety features, including three‑point belts and a reverse‑motion warning. The figures won’t thrill highway drivers, yet for tight streets and short hops they land right where they should.
