American outfitter AEV has pushed heavy-duty pickup tuning further, unveiling the FXL package for the Ford Super Duty. The headline upgrade is the ability to run 40-inch tires while keeping handling precision and the truck’s factory systems intact.

What the AEV FXL Package Is

The FXL name nods both to the Roman numeral for 40 and Ford’s FX off-road packages. In stock form, the F-250 tops out at 35-inch tires in Tremor spec. AEV set out to go beyond that without turning the pickup into a showpiece, preserving its work-ready character.

Technical Upgrades and Equipment

To make room for 40-inch rubber, AEV’s engineers reworked both the upper and lower portions of the structure. The kit adds a 4-inch suspension lift, custom-tuned Bilstein dampers, and broad HighMark fender flares. Ground clearance under the rear axle reaches 12 inches.

Finishing the package are AEV’s steel bumpers, which are winch-ready and retain the full functionality of the factory driver-assistance systems.

Takeaway

FXL signals a shift toward factory-style extreme builds, where upgrades play nicely with electronics and certification. For AEV, it’s a natural step in working with automakers and a reminder that even a heavyweight Super Duty can be prepared for serious trails without giving up comfort.

The AEV FXL package turns the Ford Super Duty into one of the most radical production pickups on sale, aimed at drivers who already find standard sizes and capabilities a bit too modest.
