Tesla Bonus rolls back Model Y and Model 3 prices in Norway
After Norway’s 2026 VAT hike, Tesla’s Tesla Bonus cuts prices by around 50,000 kroner on Model Y and most Model 3 trims, plus low-rate financing until March 31.
As the VAT increase took effect at the start of 2026, Tesla’s sales in Norway dipped almost immediately. The company reacted swiftly, introducing the so-called Tesla Bonus. The timing reads like a pragmatic move to steady demand without undermining the brand’s positioning.
The bonus trims prices across eight configurations by an average of 50,000 kroner. Every version of the Tesla Model Y qualifies, and most trims of the Model 3 are included as well, with the entry-level model being the exception.
For Tesla’s best-sellers in Norway, this effectively rolls prices back to where they stood before VAT arrived. It softens the impact of the new tax and puts the cars back into a sharper competitive stance in Europe’s most EV-saturated market. For buyers, it feels like a reset that makes showroom math easier again.
Alongside the Tesla Bonus, the automaker is offering a preferential interest rate for up to three years, with terms varying by model. The offer applies to orders placed between January 9 and March 31, 2026.
