MG4 2026 facelift brings interior upgrades and larger screens
MG4 electric hatchback gets a 2026 facelift with interior updates like new dashboard, larger screens, and sport seats, while keeping the MSP platform and battery options.
MG is preparing a facelift for its electric hatchback, the MG4, set to launch in 2026. While the updated model hasn't been officially unveiled in the UK yet, it has already been showcased in Brazil. The British market is expected to receive the car later in the year.
Major exterior changes aren't anticipated; instead, the focus is on interior upgrades. Based on the revealed vehicle, the MG4 will feature a redesigned dashboard with new air vents, different door handles, and a three-spoke steering wheel replacing the two-spoke one. The center console will adopt a more traditional layout, adding cup holders, a rotary gear selector, and wireless smartphone charging. New sport seats will also be installed.
The screens will grow in size: replacing the 7-inch and 10.25-inch displays, there will be a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, similar to the MGS5 EV. This shift indicates an updated multimedia system.
The technical foundation remains unchanged, sticking with the MSP platform. Currently, the MG4 is offered with battery options of 49, 64, and 77 kWh, providing a range of up to 329 miles (530 km).
