204 hp, 116 km on a single charge, leather, ventilation, massage and a 13-inch screen. Skoda's Spanish PHEV just got serious.

Skoda has decided the Kodiaq PHEV in Spain needed one more step up the ladder — and rolled out the Exclusive trim. This isn’t just another version. It’s a new peak: the plug-in hybrid now sits above Selection, Plus and even Sportline.

There’s only one powertrain — the 1.5 TSI iV. A four-cylinder 1.5 TSI petrol engine works in tandem with an electric motor, total output stands at 204 hp. Front-wheel drive, 6-speed DSG. Zero to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, top speed 210 km/h. The numbers look modest on paper, but they hide something more interesting.

The 19.7 kWh NMC battery delivers up to 116 km of pure electric driving on the WLTP cycle. One hundred and sixteen. Kilometres. On electricity alone. That’s enough for most drivers to handle a week of city commuting without burning a drop of petrol — and that’s precisely why Spanish authorities stamp this Kodiaq with the 0 Emisiones eco label and all the perks that come with it.

The equipment list reads like a premium-segment price sheet: 20-inch wheels, LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, infotainment with a 13-inch screen, navigation, wireless charging, three-zone climate control, leather upholstery, ventilation, massage and power adjustment for the front seats, a powered tailgate and the full suite of driver assistance. The price in Spain — 57,385 euros, no discounts. Expensive? No doubt. But the Kodiaq Exclusive isn’t betting on affordability. It’s betting on a simpler argument: a huge electric range plus a kit list missing only a human valet.
