Captur and Symbioz E-Tech Series land in Italy from €24,900 — full hybrid, 160 HP, up to 1,000 km range, and zero need to ever plug in.

Renault just made its hybrid Captur and Symbioz genuinely affordable. The E-Tech Series landed on the Italian market on July 17, 2026 — and this is no routine price-list update.

Both models run on a 160 HP full hybrid system. You never need to plug them in — and according to Renault, the car can run on electric power up to 80% of the time in city driving. That sounds like a manufacturer's promise. But real engineering backs it up.

The system pairs a 1.8-liter petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery. The transmission is multimode, clutchless. No “shift and wait” routine here: the system picks the optimal mode on its own.

On a single tank, these hybrids can cover up to 1,000 km — a number rivals aren't matching. WLTP fuel consumption is just as striking: 4.4 l/100 km for the Captur and 4.3 l/100 km for the Symbioz.

Now for the price — and this is where it gets interesting. The Captur E-Tech Series starts at €24,900 on promotion, with a regular price of €25,900. The Symbioz starts at €26,900 on promotion, with a base price of €27,900.

The Captur comes in Evolution, Techno, and Esprit Alpine trims. The Symbioz goes further, adding the top-tier Iconic. Renault's Italian promotion on the Captur runs until August 31, 2026, and includes a €1,000 E-Tech bonus. Worth moving on.
