Mercedes-Benz GLC200 Avantgarde Edition: Affordable entry model
Mercedes-Benz launches the GLC200 Avantgarde Edition, the most affordable GLC variant, with a lower price and standard features. Learn specs and availability.
Mercedes-Benz has expanded its GLC lineup with the new GLC200 Avantgarde Edition, which now serves as the most affordable version of the model. The main goal is to lower the entry price without altering the powertrain.
The newcomer starts at $89,490 drive-away for orders placed by April 30, 2026, with delivery by May 31. After the promotional period, the recommended price will be $85,400 plus on-road costs—making it $4,800 cheaper than the standard GLC200 Avantgarde.
Technically, this version is identical to the base model. It retains the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 kW and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.

The key changes focus on exterior styling. Instead of 19-inch wheels, it now features 18-inch aerodynamic wheels, and the decorative aluminum side sill trims have been removed. However, the panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and the 11.9-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all retained.
Metallic paint comes as standard, saving buyers around $1,100 compared to the regular version. This model will be available in limited numbers exclusively for the Australian market.
