Mazda is preparing to launch the new electric CX-6e crossover in the European market. The model has already received official pricing in Spain and is set to arrive at dealerships in summer 2026. This newcomer targets one of the most competitive market segments, aiming to rival models like the Tesla Model Y.

Positioned as a tech-focused family SUV, the CX-6e emphasizes comfort, features, and range. Mazda offers the car in two trim levels—Takumi and Takumi Plus. Even the base version comes well-equipped, including a panoramic sunroof, a 26-inch multimedia system, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and a comprehensive suite of electronic safety assistants.

Under the hood, the CX-6e features a single powertrain option. An electric motor delivering 190 kW (258 hp) produces 290 Nm of torque and drives the rear wheels. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, with a top speed capped at 185 km/h.

A 78 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery supplies energy. According to WLTP testing, the electric crossover can travel up to 484 kilometers on a single charge. The model also includes a heat pump and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing it to power external devices.

In Spain, the Mazda CX-6e starts at €45,837 for the Takumi trim. The more feature-rich Takumi Plus variant is priced at €48,837.

With the CX-6e, Mazda strengthens its presence in the EV market, betting on a blend of design, technology, and competitive pricing. For the brand, this is a key step in expanding its electric lineup, as the Japanese manufacturer gradually builds its position against European, American, and Chinese rivals.
