Porsche unveils 911 S/T Camel GT tribute by Sonderwunsch
Porsche reveals a special 911 S/T edition honoring a 1972 race car, with Phoenix Red paint, camel motifs, and heritage details. Explore this bespoke project.
Porsche has unveiled a unique version of the 911 S/T created by its Sonderwunsch division. This special edition pays homage to a 1972 race car that competed in the Camel GT Challenge series.
The project is based on the modern 2025 Porsche 911 S/T, with its technical specifications remaining unchanged. The primary modifications are aesthetic. The body is finished in Phoenix Red with yellow accents that echo the style of the original racing machine.

Inside, the cabin features decorative elements with a camel motif—a nod to the series' historical sponsor. The design also incorporates outlines of circuits where the original car raced, including Daytona and Sebring.
A notable feature is the Manthey Racing aero discs on the rear wheels, similar to those found on the GT3 RS. These elements are not intended for public roads and can be removed.

The original 1972 911 S/T competed in 27 races before its career ended with a crash in 1978. This new project is a design interpretation of that model, built as a bespoke commission. For enthusiasts, it underscores Porsche's ongoing interest in its heritage and the personalization of its vehicles.
