At the Chery stand during the 29th Chengdu Motor Show 2026, Tarantas.News got a close look at the new Fulwin T7 — a compact-but-family-friendly electric crossover that Chery has already put up for preorder in China. And the pitch hits two nerves at once: an aggressively low starting price and a claimed 600 km of range on the CLTC cycle. That combination is rare in the compact EV crossover class.
Chery is offering the Fulwin T7 in three trims, priced at 109,900, 119,900, and 129,900 yuan — roughly $15,400, $16,800, and $18,200. Every trim gets the same 65.05 kWh battery, the same claimed 600 km CLTC range, and fast charging from 30 to 80% in about 20 minutes. There's also 6.6 kW of vehicle-to-load power — practically a must-have feature for Chinese electric crossovers aimed at weekend getaways.
Dimensionally, the newcomer fits squarely into the mainstream family segment: 4,570 mm long, 1,852 mm wide, 1,694 mm tall, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Even the base trim gets a large 15.6-inch screen, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. Pricier versions add a panoramic roof, ventilated and heated front seats, a 540-degree camera view, and wireless charging, while the top trim throws in the 8775 chip, the Falcon 500 driver-assist suite, automatic parking, and nine airbags. The show photos make it clear Chery is betting on looks as much as on numbers — slim lighting, a smooth, grille-free nose, and a calm, minimalist cabin built around a large central display.
For now, the Fulwin T7 is above all a standout Chinese debut at the Chengdu Motor Show 2026: a clean format, a modern feature set, and pricing tuned for the local market. There's no official word yet on sales outside China, so talk of its prospects elsewhere is premature. But as a snapshot of how fast mainstream electric crossovers are getting cheaper and simpler in China, it's about as telling as it gets.
