Fiat turned its Fastback Smart Drive package into a full trim for 2027 — and priced the sportier BlackMotion just $370 above it.

Fiat just pulled off a pricing trick Brazilian dealers weren't ready for: it turned an option package into a standalone trim — then parked the next rung up almost right on top of it. The 2027 Fastback crossover lineup has been reshuffled for the Brazilian market. The Smart Drive package, offered last model year as an option on the base Turbo 200, is now its own trim level. Its price: R$127,990.

Here's the twist. The next step up sits almost close enough to touch. The special BlackMotion series is priced at R$129,980 — just R$1,990 more than Smart Drive. That's practically a rounding error. For that markup, Fiat fits a 10.1-inch touchscreen in place of the 8.4-inch unit, black 17-inch wheels, a two-tone roof, and a batch of blacked-out body and cabin trim. BlackMotion goes on sale in September.

Smart Drive itself adds a rearview camera, keyless entry, remote engine start, and wireless phone charging. An electronic parking brake, Auto Hold, rear parking sensors, LED headlights, and 17-inch wheels also come on the more affordable Fastback T200.

The base 2027 lineup starts at R$119,990. Above it sit the mild hybrids Audace MHEV at R$168,490 and Impetus MHEV at R$174,490. At the top of the range sits the Fastback Abarth at R$184,490. Its T270 engine makes 185 hp and 270 Nm, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 7.6 seconds.

Fiat's Scudo van, meanwhile, is set to launch in Japan in 2027.
