Mercedes-Benz EQE and EQS electric vehicles back on sale in U.S.
Mercedes-Benz has restarted sales of EQE and EQS electric models in the U.S. after a five-month halt. Four models are available again, with details on production and pricing.
Mercedes-Benz has resumed sales of its EQE and EQS electric vehicles in the U.S. after a nearly five-month pause. Four models are back in the American lineup: the EQE sedan, EQE SUV, EQS sedan, and EQS SUV. Production of U.S.-market versions was halted on September 1, 2025, in anticipation of the federal $7,500 tax credit for new EV purchases ending on September 30.
The EQE and EQS sedans are imported to the U.S. from Germany, while the EQE SUV and EQS SUV crossovers are assembled in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The company explained that it temporarily adjusted order availability to match demand and continues to manage its production network flexibly.
As Mercedes transitions to a new naming scheme, the EQE and EQS remain the last models with the EQ brand in its portfolio. Currently, the brand offers five electric vehicles in the U.S.: the most affordable and newest model is the CLA, starting at $48,600, while the EQS SUV Maybach is priced from $181,350.
