The Ineos Grenadier has set a new record on the Cape to Cape route. British adventurer John Bouldson covered roughly 20,000 km from Norway's North Cape to Cape Agulhas in southern Africa in 28 days and 13 hours.

That beat the previous record by five hours, which had stood since 1984. The journey crossed Europe and Africa, 25 borders, and two continents. Six people and two vehicles, specially prepared for tough terrain, took part.

According to organizers, temperatures ranged from -28°C to +48°C. The most demanding leg was the final push through Africa: around 3,500 km through Angola, Namibia, and South Africa was covered in just over two days.

Additional achievements were recorded: the route was completed with an expedition trailer and two vehicles driving in convoy. The trip was filmed for a documentary expected by year's end.

For Ineos Automotive, this record showcases the Grenadier's capabilities. Among top off-roaders for 2026, it stands out by prioritizing classic durability over electronics and comfort alone.
