Direct Cars and tuning house WALD reworked the Bruno's cabin with premium fabrics and a darker, richer look. Six seats, five units and a price nobody is revealing yet — the reveal lands at Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026.

Just five units — and that’s final. Japanese motorhome maker Direct Cars has teamed up with tuning house WALD to build a special version of its Bruno camper. The base is once again the Toyota Hiace, yet almost everything inside has changed.

The real intrigue lives in the cabin. The team reworked the colors and materials of the furniture, flooring and seats while leaving the familiar layout of the standard Bruno untouched. For the seats they chose a mix of two fabrics and black trim — a move meant to make the interior look richer and more upscale.

The camper still carries six people. Everything else, though, stays under wraps: the technical specs, engine type and the price of this special version have not been revealed. Only one thing is certain — the run will total just five vehicles. Want one? You had better hurry.

The public premiere takes place on July 11—12 at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight. Organizers are promising record scale — 100 companies and 238 campers, including several debuts.
