Consumer Reports ranks the Ford Bronco as the top mid-size two-row SUV for user-friendliness. Owners praise its infotainment, power, and daily comfort.

The Ford Bronco is once again winning praise from owners, and not just for its rugged looks. Consumer Reports recently ranked it as the top mid-size two-row SUV for user-friendliness, with 73% of owners giving it high marks. That's a bigger deal for the Bronco than it might seem.

People often buy these vehicles for their style, off-road prowess, and legendary status, but they have to live with them daily—parking, hauling gear, using the infotainment screen, climbing in with muddy boots, and driving on highways and city streets. If a vehicle is practical beyond the trail, that means Ford has nailed both the emotional and practical sides.

Owners specifically praised the size of the infotainment screen. It might not be the most romantic feature for an off-roader, but in everyday use, details like this quickly become crucial. A large, clear display makes navigation, settings, cameras, and phone integration easier.

Consumer Reports gauges satisfaction with a simple question: would owners buy the same vehicle again? The more 'yes' responses, the higher the score. The Bronco earns a predicted satisfaction rating of 4 out of 5, and CR has previously called it one of the most enjoyable mid-size two-row SUVs.

The positives owners point out are clear: ample power, confident on-road handling, a comfortable ride for its type, and serious off-road ability. The Bronco doesn't try to be a cushy family crossover, but it also doesn't sacrifice everyday comfort just for looks. There are drawbacks, though.

Consumer Reports notes noticeable wind noise and a slightly long braking distance. For a boxy, body-on-frame SUV, the wind noise is expected, but it still matters to buyers: that attractive shape creates a lot of noise at highway speeds.

The Bronco isn't loved because it's perfect. It's loved because it looks like a genuine off-roader, can actually go off-road, and doesn't frustrate owners in daily use. For a vehicle like this, that's about the best compliment you can get.
