Skoda has unveiled the new electric crossover Epiq, which will become the brand's most affordable electric vehicle with a starting price of €25,900. This compact SUV joins Skoda's electric lineup, though a cheaper VW ID.1 counterpart isn't in the works. Skoda is also planning to launch the flagship Peaq, a large seven-seat SUV measuring 4.87 meters in length, rounding out the range alongside the Epiq, Elroq, and Enyaq.

Production of the Epiq will take place in Spain, leveraging economies of scale from shared manufacturing with VW and Cupra. With Czech factories running at full capacity, the Navarra facility offers a solution for further growth. The Peaq will be built in Mlada Boleslav using a flexible manufacturing process.
In Q1 2026, Skoda posted an 8.3% profit margin. CEO Klaus Zellmer highlighted the importance of profitability and a sustainable shift to electromobility. Skoda is also mulling an 800-volt platform for the next generation of models, but says the current 400-volt architecture is sufficient for now.
