Volvo has expanded its EX30 electric crossover lineup by introducing the most affordable version of the model. The vehicle retains a comprehensive set of equipment and technologies.
The base Essential trim includes safety systems, driver assistance features, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with parking assistance and lane-keeping functions. Over-the-air updates are also available to keep the system current.
The model comes with rear-wheel drive and a 272-horsepower electric motor. The standard 51 kWh battery provides a range of up to 339 km. The more expensive Long Range version features a 69 kWh battery with an extended range of up to 476 km. The top-tier modification is equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive, delivering up to 428 horsepower. Depending on the version, four equipment levels are available: Essential, Core, Plus, and Ultra.
Sales are now open, with the base version starting at approximately €35,800. This move highlights Volvo's strategy to broaden its audience and strengthen its position in the urban electric car segment, where price and features are crucial.
